Where to start?

I'm a 26yr old male from North London with a wife, cat, baby on the way and huge desire to be a single figure handicap golfer.

Endless days spent in the worlds most boring job and a love for the game of golf have inspired me to write this blog.

With 50% of my day spent looking at golf forums, courses and online shops I thought it'd be best to share my love of the game with all other golf fanatics by way of a blog.

It all started around 4 years ago when I met my then girlfriend (now my wife). Eager to impress her family and be invloved with her father and brother, I stupidly told them I could play golf at a decent level. To my joy a couple of weeks later I was invited to play with them along with my wife's brother in-law.

They were of course unaware that I had never played on a 18hole golf course and that my main golf history was hacking round a pitch and putt at the age of 13. With no idea of what was good golf etiquette or suitable dress I was soon found out. Turning up at the course in a round neck shirt soon had me in the pro-shop parting with 20 quid for a collared t-shirt. Me scuffing the ball around the course in exactly 120 blows may have also let the cat out of the bag but I pleaded with them to invite me back. "I used to be really good", "i haven't played in ages" and "i'm not used to this course" were all excuses used on the day.

Only now I think how much they must have been laughing at me while i dug up there beloved course. I now know that good golfing etiquette would mean not laughing at a fellow golfers bad play but I deserved everything i got that day, I made out I was Tigers long lost brother but ended up looking like a lost pussy cat.

So, four inglorious years later here I am, a member of the club I played my first round at, married to my beautiful wife who's enjoying the cool british summer whilst carrying our unborn child and struggling to fulfill what i believe is huge golfing potential.

Apologies for any typos or bad grammer but this is my only blog i'll be writing whilst at work so its a tad rushed.

I hope you enjoy my weekly blog that will have a few highs, a lot of lows, and maybe, just maybe the Eagle i have been waiting so long for.
